Spacetart rated 3 months ago- Is this a trend -- People being menaced by something invisible? I'm reminded of the Garfield Minus Garfield comics.

Hapax rated 3 months ago- martijn hendriks give us today our daily terror Exact copy of Hitchcock's 1963 film The Birds from which all birds have been removed. Martijn Hendriks was born in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. He makes video works and installations and writes texts. A returning theme in his work is how we understand reality through media images, stories and fictions, and how we perform these in everyday life. Looking for ways to explore reality through its imaginary structures, he creates and appropriates situations where the imagined and the real mimic or run into each other. Many situations in his works have to do with people performing in anticipation of seeing themselves in images and circulating these images to others. His works often start out from existing elements, media images, found footage and stories and are somehow related to video, performance, and the spreadability of images. In his most recent works and projects he has been exploring existing narratives and ideologies through strategies like reconstructing fictions and re-scenarizing real situations. He currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
