From the page: "filters oxygen out of the water around you" You can't just "filter" half of a molecule away form the rest. Free oxygen and hydrogen are much higher energy substances than when bonded together as water, meaning that if you want to separate them you must somehow supply the difference in energy. The amount of energy required to separate a breathable amount of oxygen can't feasibly be transported on a single person. Furthermore, if you breathe pure or closer to pure than is in the atmosphere oxygen for too long, you tend to become flammable, meaning you need a bunch of nitrogen to mix with the oxygen, too.I'm rather tired of "emerging technology" that isn't actually possible.

What a winning set of pictures to go along with a great article.

The dive one makes no sense. How does it work? If it's actually taking Oxygen out of the water and making it into a gas, you would die since Oxygen is poisonous if you go below about 10' of water.

All impressive, but I would be thrilled with just an ergonomic wearable-computing platform running a useful and entertaining suite of augmented reality applications.
