- Ever wanted to know who's been selling your email to spammers? Gmail users can create a custom email whenever they register for newsletters or on websites. All you have to do is add a "+" sign and a quick description. For example, Daily News wants your email address in order to read some of their free content. Sign up as "myemail+dailynews@gmail.com." All emails will be sent to your regular address "myemail@gmail.com" but will keep the + part for you to see. If you get spam to that address, you know Daily News sold your email.
