Who wants to learn some magic? this site is a storehouse of magic tricks, from simple sleight of hand to some cool prop magic. And it's all written in a delightful style, with some helpful illustrations. Good fun!

I'm somewhat in two minds about this website. It is, I imagine, a useful repository of information pertaining to magic and the performance thereof. However, even the most casual reader cannot fail to notice the positively Victorian tone of the writing. It should come as no surprise then that this work is not the penmanship of a twenty-first century conjurer, but is rather the text of a book by Edwin Sachs: "Sleight of Hand", 2nd edition, 1885, L. Upcott Gill, London; reprint, 1980, Dover Publications, New York; 399 pages. So what are my "two minds"? First, it is wonderful to share information and I'm sure that most of us would not have known the work of Edwin Sachs were it not for this website. However, it seems plausible that magictrickschool.com has copied the text verbatim without the permission of the copyright owner, and, far more heinous, has not acknowledged the proper authorship of the work. Plagiarism is an unpardonable sin this site would be much improved by a simple acknowledgement.
