sujithtom discovered 13 months ago- New tip. Password protect your folders without any software. Easy and nice one

Sniper-Wolf33 rated 12 months ago- Simple way to hide your files, but not very secure

Thanatossassin rated 12 months ago- use it to hide stuff from your boss or grandma

FlightDreamz rated 12 months ago- From the page: "an easy method of locking and hiding folders in Windows without any additional software."

Dakam rated 12 months ago- Midnattsol, The article explained that it's not secure, so why do you insist on stating the obvious?

- Although you can easily just put your crap in a zip and password protect it that way, this could be useful.

Midnattsol rated 12 months ago- another case of security through obscurity, even worse than the "hide your folder by using un-printable characters and an invisible icon"-trick)
"Password protect your folders without any software"
lol, this is the worst thing ever (even for the lazy/simple ones). I mean, the password is in the file, everyone can read it. You have to come up with a "creative name" for your *.bat file and hide it well (so that no one can read your "password" in plain text). Also people only have to run a file search for
"Control Panel.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}" and BANG!
stupid- another case of security through obscurity, even worse than the "hide your folder by using un-printable characters and an invisible icon"-trick)

m1ka rated 12 months ago- Easy and can be useful one day.

gridpro rated 13 months ago- really amazing tip!
