Well written, but not for those too set in their ways, or unwilling to question their assumptions.

Picture this: a website full of theory, books by theorists, books on teaching, and a place that blissfully sells you nothing while encouraging discussion and free knowledge. All this has been pictured and captured by her. And I am envious, not only of her site (Laura, oh thou stumbler of whom Petrarch did not write) but also of Xabatu. Who is Xabatu, you ask? He is a creature who bears the unshakeable belief that if you build it, the image of the sound, they will come. And if Laura ever despairs of the desire of others to contribute, I hope she will never forget that Xabatu is there, beside her, for me the best motto for the tremendous potentiality of her work. I think it was Raymond Aron, an old French radical historian, who said that before History there is theory. Let me add that before theory there is also Xabatu. Loyal Xabatu, let's be loyal to him, and take up the loyalty of a Derrida before his cat eyeing his prick. And you might think I am mad, and doubtless I am, in a world in which divine weakness is punished, but you're reading me simply trying to picture the sound of Laura, her generosity and her site, and the enthusiasm with which I greet it and wish it well. For a sanity that is not mine, but better, please head like moths to Xabatu and The Image of Sound.

Digestion of literature is greater than indigestion from mass media waves. From the site: This page is meant to encourage its visitors to be(come) active readers and writers. If you read some of the texts you will find here, why not write your opinions thoughts or interpretations?
