Though initially captivating by sheer morbidity, Luke Chueh's art betrays an almost ironic warmth and humor, underscored by the genuine care and empathy one develops for his omnipresent, ill-fated stuffed bear antagonists. Pop-surrealism doesn't get any better than this.

I don't like these too much. They're overly simplistic and a bit macabre considering the subject. Although I know cute, violent animals are all the rage now, I cannot understand why. It's stupid.

all of this stuff looks the same and is actually pretty basic. I understand stupid scene emo kids liking it but not other artists or critics.
