- It seems rather ridiculous to make predictions of the future. What's even sillier is when people HOLD them to these predictions, as though they still seem to think assumptions about future events that have not happened and thus cannot be examined can be reasonably accurate.
Kelseyg rated 5 months ago- Apparently, you can make whatever ridiculous assertions you want to as long as you claim that it's just a prediction. I'll believe what these people have to say when they have concrete data to back themselves up.

- Heh. Interesting concept, and interesting to read the learnéd proclamations of futurists with PhDs, but far more entertaining to read 'Soon, scientists will accept the existence of Qi and a true Theory of Everything will be accepted!!!!11one' by Shamalamadingdong Om.

- These predictions are just ludicrous. I mean, I take the example, "by 2100, there will be no racism." Well, of course I hope there won't be. I wish there weren't any now. Racism's meaningless and a product of arrogance. But there's nothing to go with that bet, nothing supporting it, and so I'm not sure what to take from it.
