this is some shocking stuff. what i thought was original is just a fluke. i guess you got to look at your life and everything you've come to love so much and analyze it twice. who knows whats real.

Most of you people arn't getting this. They didn't COVER a lot of their songs. Given, some of these songs are just covers and it's common knowledge. BUT they did steal ALL OF THEIR MUSIC from other artists. There's a website somehwere that goes song by song, and every song besides Kashmir is plagiarized.

Lots of artists didn't wright songs they became famous for. The fact that the original artists who's songs Led Zeppelin copied never received royalties is different though.

"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" is a traditional folk song written by Anne Bredon in the late 1950s. It was recorded by Joan Baez and released on her 1963 album Joan Baez in Concert, Part 1, and also by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, being included on their 1969 debut album Led Zeppelin.

I got news for you, Frank Sinatra didn't write "The Lady is a Tramp", Elvis Didn't write "Hound Dog" and Jimmy Hendricks didn't write "Hey Joe". Other people have recorded those songs too, especially "Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" and "You Shook Me". If LZ tried to rip off the writers, well it wouldn't be the first time musicians did so. What else do you expect from some one who sold his music out to Sean Combs. Being a great musician doesn't make you a great person. Plus, the files don't load.

Don't know if I should thumb this one up or down. Well, I am Led Zeppelin fan, maybe not the biggest in the world but I like them. And after starting to read this, at first I laughed, but after actually playing those tracks, I started thinking about it... well yes there is a connection... Well I will still love Led Zeppelin after this, cause even if they are plagiarists, they did it pretty good :D
