- Very interesting article on the race factor in Obama's run...it must be noted that this was written prior to the last week and a half's worth of the Rev. Wright mania...sadly, the hysteria and hypocrisies running rampant ever since seem to further prove the author's hypothesis.

- I love Tim Wise, this man has helped me come to terms with so much in US history. It is thanks to him, that I rediscovered why I should be proud to be an American. His writing (along with Noam Chomsky and Howard Zinn) have helped me understand how the pain and suffering throughout US history has created many of the freedoms we hold dear in our society today.

- A remarkable article. Author Tim Wise explains that "the success of Barack Obama has proven, perhaps more so than any other single thing could, just how powerful race remains in America. [Obama's] success, far from disproving white power and privilege, confirms it with a vengeance." I've met Tim Wise, read his work, and attended a couple of his speeches several years back. Yes, I am a bit of a fan and I think this current article is amazingly insightful and accurate.
