Luke771 rated 28 months ago - OK that explains one thing... and it is funny: I had a car once, a very *long* car. A volvo 245 Kombi, sometimes called a 240 or 244 Station Wagon (they are slightly different but it's basically the same car).
Now, if you've seen one of those, you'll remember that they are long and...

Excellent visuals. When I try to explain this, people generally look at me like I'm a barking seal. Now I can simply refer them to this illustrated page (and then bark at them like a seal).
Terremonster rated 24 months ago- good tip.
I´ve to adjust my mirrors now, bathroom one included.

A page devoted to correctly adjusting your side view mirrors? I was SO READY to blast the stupidity of this site, but...alas...The guy's right. As long as I've been driving, I've been doing it wrong, and I bet you are too!
ColdFyre rated 28 months ago- I never even realised my mirrors were done wrong, this absolutly makes sense too.
vixelpixen rated 28 months ago- Adjusting your mirrors: Why don't they teach people this in Driver's Education, at the DMV and at Car rental agencies?
getthept rated 25 months ago- Interesting and useful information.
How to adjust your driving mirrors properly.
johnjohn rated 27 months ago- Gotta adjust my mirrors now.
Draconis rated 25 months ago- Think you have your rear view mirrors adjusted? THINK AGAIN!

Now, if you've seen one of those, you'll remember that they are long and "thin", I mean thin if compared to the length, they're not actually *that* thin.
Anyway, I used to like that car, and one of the thigs I liked about it was the fact that it didn't have any blind spots
reading the article I realized that *maybe* (it was a long time ago) the particular shape of that car forced me to adjust the side mirrors more properly. Maybe not quite to the sides like shown in the page but at least pointing somewhat less to the same area covered by the center mirror.
BTW, I don't drive cars any more. I 'll start doing that again when I can use an electric car and switch batteries at the gas station paying only for the electricity itself (or slightly more, as long as fair).
Exhausted batteries like empty milk bottles, you get it?
Instead of gas pumps, you would see lots of batteries being recharged all the time; you leave your empty batteries, you get the recharged batteries that someone else left there empty some time earlier, you pay for the charge and you're on your way. In 5 miutes.
Now the argument about "electric cars are no good because batteries take long time to get recharged makes no sense any longer: Yes batteries do take long time to re-charge, but gas stations can be converted to provide recharged batteries at any time for a reasonaby fair fee.
So why don't big car companies that have the money to take such a step get together and set some standard for electric car batteries? (electric truck batteries, motorbike batteries, small aicraft batteries etc)
That would encourage other companies to get in the business of anytime-recharged-batteries. Can be done.
Problem is, they don't want to. We have to use *all* the oil first, I guess, then they will start to make alternative cars practical. Technically, it can be done *now*
johnnyhay rated 28 months ago- Now, it's time to run from the cops.
