I guess it shouldn't be surprising to see such collectivist thoughts from someone who is obviously not libertarian or paleoconservative.

Hahaha, thinking that all libertarians are republican just because Ron Paul is, and thinking that all republicans are like this (most are). Author sees things in black and white. Maybe he's never heard of the libertarian party?

How Libertarians vote? I'd describe it more as how someone who has no concept of Libertarianism draws unfunny cartoons. That would at least be an accurate description.

libertarianism is, indeed, a strange and poorly-understood bird. that being said, i believe that most libertarians ended up voting for obama in the general election, although i'm sure that there were individuals who didn't, for this reason.

    Incorrect.

Actually I voted for Obama because I'd prefer someone who will waste money on useless government programs over someone who will start another war. And thanks for the straw man. I bet it makes you feel better while you're telling people that stealing our money to go bomb foreign countries and arrest innocent people is for our own good.

Sad, but true. I know too many self-described libertarians who will support statist agendas that contain a tax cut. Real libertarians will insist that tax cuts come from reduced government spending, and care as much about civil liberties as keeping their earnings. Unfortunately, these real libertarians are quite rare.
