- A greasemonkey script to encrypt your email sent on Gmail... great idea... and is Gmail less secure than other web based email? not really, but the fact that Gmail keeps everything makes people paranoid... I’d just say don’t use gmail... but given the fact that nothing is perfectly secure, at least now you have a way to keep your email PRIVATE... like it should be...

kaolelo rated 26 months ago- not too bad a place to start if you need it

Tabmow rated 26 months ago- This thing sounds like it gives a rather false sense of security. E-mail is insecure unless it is encrypted before being sent. If you have a static public key and somehow decrypt your e-mail somewhere besides your homebase, this means that your private key is publically available. Anotherwords, unless you can only access the information on your one system where you created the key - the encryption is quite insecure.

susanad rated 26 months ago- From the page: "Gmail Encrypt (Beta)" I must give this more attention when I get home.

DMMC1959 rated 26 months ago- VERY NICE!

gregburd rated 26 months ago- So, you like using Gmail, but don't want other people to be able to read your email? You are probably not alone and that is where the Gmail Encryption extension enters the picture. A Greasemonkey extension that will do a fair job of public key encryption

runtime rated 26 months ago- Gmail Encryption plugin
