Hey! This is so spot-on funny and certainly supports my speculation in an earlier post that the more humorous, especially to the point of over-the-top-outrageously funny something is, the closer it gets to an accurate conclusion, dare I say, "a truth of some sort." Laughing with others... more

It is frightening that ,by pretending to be far,far right,or left, allows some of these things(preposterous, hurtful things) to be said about anyone on the 'other' side of the spectrum. How different is this"church",from the one(made up of almost all family members)in Arkansas, who picket military funerals? 'zimpf' is right. There is a beginning to the madness, and I think we know where to look.

Hey! This is so spot-on funny and certainly supports my speculation in an earlier post that the more humorous, especially to the point of over-the-top-outrageously funny something is, the closer it gets to an accurate conclusion, dare I say, "a truth of some sort." Laughing with others about such things or "Laughing out loud to one's self" as in "deafening inward chuckle" ("DIC" could be an alt. to "LOL", whaddya think :-)?) may be a visceral, inarticulate, more primitive way we have to confirm for ourselves the validity or acceptability of information delivered by humor. As such it also serves like a flashing light on culture's dashboard. "The Culture Wars" are, among other things, a serious struggle between those who believe that access to information, conclusions about information, and action to be taken should be governed by personal sovereignty on one side and those who believe in an essentially political agenda, often sanctimoniously garbed in religion, to deny personal sovereignty by way of hierarchically sanctioned, received, arbitrary beliefs (propaganda), or mythologies and their derivative formulations deemed credible only by virtue of their historical survival. (See one of my previous posts for a fuller discussion of personal sovereignty as birthright and mind colonization.) And it seems to me that as science becomes increasingly powerful and information production, flow and accessibility increase, those most threatened will become more zealous in their efforts to attack the freedom to make choices based on experience of one's inner and outer worlds that are as free of contamination, colonization and control as is possible. Finally, Santa, if they are after the Easter Bunny, your next, though it's likely to be the Feds and not the Church who comes after you. Moreover, unlike unsupportable claims about the Devil's Testicles, the Feds have serious firepower. Are you a charitable organization under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code? Who funds you? Since the number of Ipods, Iphones, X-boxes, and Carl Rove action figures delivered last Christmas really popped, Congress and the IRS are looking at whether Jobs, Gates and the RNC have any mysterious charitable write-offs. And that new paint job for The Pole? Same guy Ted had do his house? Uh-oh! Is it true that the Elves are hired as independent contractors when they are actually employees? I've heard from reliable sources that undocumented Elves from Guatemala are doing all the landscaping and snow removal at The North Pole and that they do not get minimum wage. There's rumor that even the Elves working on the toys aren't paid overtime between Black Friday and Christmas Eve, that the Reindeer are fed government subsidized corn meant for hog feed and that they are corralled unable to enjoy free-range tundra. Is it also true that your health insurance has zero mental health coverage even though hundreds of Elves suffer with low-elf esteem, and that you do not even support any onsite elf-help organizations for that current epidemic among the little people, "Elvis Identity Disorder"?
