Kiva, org - got $25 or £12.50 to spare? then give someone who needs your help a micro loan. They pay it back and eventually you get your money back - in the meantime you have really helped make a difference to someone elses life. Go on - you know it makes sense!

So far so good - I joined a bit ago and it has been great to read about people's stories from all over the world and to know that I've helped!

This is a wonderful way to help people all across the globe. This isn't a hand-out, this is a loan to help people who wish to help themselves. You can lend as little as $25, and you're then provided with updates about the entrepreneur, and the payback of the loan. I plan to loan that $25, and then, when it gets paid back, loan it again. Perhaps with another $5 attached to it. Then again. And again. And again. My first donation was to a woman in the Ukraine :) (I'm half Ukrainian)

Peer-to-peer micro-credit is amazing and feels great. Also, Kiva gift cert\'s are super gifts (wedding, b-days, etc.) and a great way to spread the word.

I've given several loans out through Kiva. They are a great organization that helps people by showing them how to create bright futures for themselves and their family. I'm a big believer in micro-credit and this site makes it so personal and easy to help.
