From the page: "Stalingrad | 1942-1943" This battle was turning point of the war, but you have to ask yourself some serious questions about the conduct of the Soviet army towards prisoners of war. Of the 290,000 men of the German Sixth army encircled in Stalingrad only 5000 survived their incarceration.Not even the Japanese who's brutality was legendary managed to slaughter that many prisoners.

One of the Best photographers of WW II! Of course the pics are not as clear as we are used to now with digital and photoshop, but we are talking 65 years ago... And Zelma was right there in the line of fire!
