- One way to produce something like this is with mplayer's ascii-art video output. See e.g. http://liquidweather.net/howto/index.php?id=74 They probably used something else for this though.

- I would love to get my hands on the program that made this. Best veiwed if you make your text size so small that the ASCII looks amber. Then go up one size.

- there is a video renderer called textmedia floating around somewhere that'll do this with any video file you have the codecs for, in a dos/comandline window.

- Only about the tenth time I've seen this in the last few years...
Incredibly overrated, incredibly crappy set of movies... kind of cool ASCII, though... better from a bit of a distance... (note: this was not done by hand, in case anyone thinks it was) - Only about the tenth time I've seen this in the last few years...
