    The redundancy of 'close proximity' is so prevalent in the media these days. It's a wonder that it hasn't been added as proper grammar usage. And the misuse of the preposition 'like'. I here this misused word a lot on college campus daily.

    A fair number of those are dictated by whatever the writer wants to do. For example, with "red, white and blue | red, white, and blue" those are both correct. It comes down to preference.

    From the page: "Computers are the culprit here, but you can generally use the correct character if you can figure out the command and/or character map." Or, we could stop worry about whether punctuation marks for chrissakes are slanted when you use them for one thing or the other. That's just needlessly complicated.

    even if it is for english language grammar, usage, and style errors- it also helps a lot in other languages!
