You live and learn or hopefully you do. Tip No.2 was most useful and something I didn't know about. I have used tags within my own favourites but not for Internet search. Maybe unfriending someone after 3 to 4 weeks inactivity is a little bit premature. Of course on the new Stumble there will be no friends.
