I am the bottom of my class in sewing -- it takes
 me most of the period (45 minutes)
 just to thread the needle.
Clumsy fingers and lack of motivation . . .

Now imagine if the teacher gave us bright-coloured
yarn instead, and said "make some drawings".
That's how the Huichol people of Mexico do it, and
they glue the yarn down rather than embroider.­
I just love this idea.
