I choose medicinal herbs over prescription drugs any day. The key is to eat *really* well and give our bodies what they need to stay healthy in the first place. Then we have much less need for "medicine."

Parsley tea is good for kidney problems, painful urination, and kidney stones. One cup of parsley to 1 quart of water makes a strong tea. Two cups of parsley to 1 quart of water, steep an hour and drink warm, as an aphrodisiac. In Spain they have found that feeding parsley to sheep will bring them into heat at any time of year!"

I really want to like this site but there are factual errors and omissions here. The biggest one I could see is that you can take comfrey internally when it's toxic! Another biggie- they don't mention that several of these herbs are emmenagogues which means they can start menstruation and therefore abort pregnancies.

Wonderful site on using spices as medicine. A must read. Go to your spice rack before you go to your doctor.
