- Labour Day and the weekend of, don't go to the beach or have a barbeecue, havin made a purty good buck gamblin avoid driving and highways, the odds just too stacked, maybe I'll watch again REDS, WarrenBeattys brillant and beautiful film revisits that moment in time when it could have been different, what if we hadn't joined a coalition of the willing and invaded Russia after the Revolution, what was it so freaked us, the free love, Atheism, equal rights for woman, universal education, single payer healthcare, or was it that the workers would own the means of production? would this globalization be such an ass rape if the workers in India and Silicone Valley, Detroit and San Salvador, Georgia and Indonesia all belonged to the same union and owned a peice of the action, what if we hadn't fucked Cuba, and Viet Nam and Chile and Nicaragua, what if Iran had been alowed to keep their freely elected president and oil and Afganistan a few generations of Atheism the official religion,maybe now there would be, what, some other ways and means could maybe save our ass.Is capitalism and the free market so much better or have we just been more willing to kill anybody tried anything else? I been in the fact bizness for the Truth you need the movies, seee: McCabe and Mrs Mlller and the Godfather 1 and 2. Maybe thats my weekend, and of course remembering relatives buried alive dreaming of better days.
