This is touching on a human level - someone came through for this little girl - sort of. But what if a touching reply had been sent by Santa Claus? Still cute, yes, but the child would be allowed to leave the fantasy behind one day. The God fantasy way outlasts Santa Claus for most kids, and it's too bad. Darn.

Great to know there are some kind people out there in the world. one has taken the time to help a child through the sadness of loosing a much loved pet. The Child already had a concept of Heaven where her dog had gone and the person who took the time to answer that letter helped a lot. Well done.

Wow, there's a difference between lying to your kids and helping them through difficult life experiences. What would be better, Oh sorry kid, your dog's gone forever, her body is rotting in the ground, and when you die nothing happens. There's no God, either. Way to scar your kids for life. Let them be kids, for chrissakes.
