a list of ports and the common uses thereof. good information to have when you compare it to what's being blocked by your firewall.

Instead, less /etc/services (or Google it if on Windows), for a complete and reliable list.

"Website review: Ports" lists all TCP & UDP ports number from 0-38036 and their respective purposes. Also shown are the ports used by the fearful Trojan Horses; ports that of security reason must be stealthy or closed in the firewall of the computer. (There are many sites, that online can test your ports of the firewall.)
