The Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) is a European Space Agency astronomical satellite observatory that collected data between November 1995 and April 1998. Aboard ISO were four science instruments: an infrared camera (CAM), a long-wavelength spectrometer (LWS), a photo-polarimeter (PHT), and a short-wavelength spectrometer (SWS). More detailed information about the ISO mission can be found on the ISO Data Center's (ESAC) website. Currently, ESA and IPAC continue efforts to improve the data pipelines and specialized software analysis tools to yield the best quality calibration and data reduction methods from the mission. IPAC supports ISO observers and data archive users through in-house visits and workshops. Photo I took last year in my backyard of geese travelling along the river.
