- A site by one of my favourite artists Renee Magritte. He differed from other surrealist in that he believed that you need not distort objects but rather take them out of context. By doing this the normal thought process was being challenged.It is due to this that Magritte transcends surrealism.

- Orwell thought Magritte was just flat stage sets Interesting how the literary mind can respond so literally to literary painting. maybe the symbolism of alchemy and the subconscious did not resonate with him
