Great article on how to recognize a good developer. I would agree with pretty much all of the points. If you can find someone who is passionate about writing great code, loves technology and keeping up with the latest trends, and has a drive to be the best - those are the sorts of developers who will create success.

from page:"How to recognise a good programmer Jump to Comments How do you recognise good programmers if you're a business guy? It's not as easy as it sounds. CV experience is only of limited use here, because great programmers don't always have the "official" experience to demonstrate that they're great. In fact, a lot of that CV experience can be misleading. Yet there are a number of subtle cues that you can get, even from the CV, to figure out whether someone's a great programmer."

He. Uses. Choppy. Setences... also, I wonder why this site was filed under programming, when it's supposedly aimed at buisnessmen (even if programmers will likely enjoy the pat on the back they'll get by reading it more =\)
