My first feeling about plurk is that it is more friendly to me "a newbie", "On Plurk, people are much more likely to welcome and engage strangers and newbies. Relationship-building is much easier in Plurk, and people looking to make many fast, personal connections with others are the service's biggest fans"

I was a big time Twitterrer and now I have switched over to plurk. Being able to follow a conversation makes the tool much more useful
