aksmith discovered 24 months ago- A photo-essay about the homeless in downtown Madison, WI. Of interest if you're from around here, probably not if you aren't.

laisydaisy rated 7 months ago- This is some powerful stuff. Take a few minutes to look/read through this photographers photo essay. It is a very moving piece of work. From the page: " This photo-essay is about some poor people who live on the street. They are not cardboard cutout poor people; they are real, living, breathing, human beings. They have problems and feelings."

TrashBroadcast rated 8 months ago- A photo-essay about the homeless in downtown Madison, WI. Powerful

MrMNO rated 23 months ago- Hits home with me! even though I do not live in the area of the picture essay. This happens in Anytown, USA and it is sad. My brother was homeless and by choice. He would not stay with anyone that offered to give him shelter for long, if at all. It's not that he did not have a job, he did. It's wasn't that he could not have a home to live in, he chose not to. He died on the street, but not unwanted nor without love. Marvin Lonny Odom

juspassinthru rated 23 months ago- "Men made sport of him, turning away from him; he was a man of sorrows, marked by disease; and like one from whom men's faces are turned away, he was looked down on, and we put no value on him. But it was our pain he took, and our diseases were put on him: while to us he seemed as one diseased, on whom God's punishment had come. But it was for our sins he was wounded, and for our evil doings he was crushed: he took the punishment by which we have peace, and by his wounds we are made well. We all went wandering like sheep; going every one of us after his desire; and the Lord put on him the punishment of us all." (Isa 53:3-6 BBE) This description of my hero Jesus was written by the prophet Isaiah around 750 years before the birth of Christ. It's a pretty good description of us too.

heysha rated 23 months ago- looking through this will make you think twice about things you just accept in society today.

samsaramom rated 23 months ago- This is one of the most moving, compassionate photo-essays that I have ever seen. Its tender, but politcally outspoken enough to make its point without exploiting his subjects. I disagree with the original reviewer, that you might not be interested if you are not from the area. Homelessness, unfortunatly is (almost) universal. This could represent any North American city. Thanks for the find...
