Previously unveiled at last years Geneva Show, the Blue Car is a fully-electric vehicle that comes equipped with solar panels on the rooftop.

Take the stupid bait solar cells off of it, give me a $20,000 off the price tag and I'll take one!!! solar cells are useless on cars. All it does it add cost. 99% of the energy will come from the outlet so why bother with the solar cell. I'd rather the weight and cost of the solar cell go into more batteries to extend the range of the vehicle. This is why we don't have electric vehicles yet. It is because they are only marketed to the greentards.

Oh, this is getting tiring... From the page: "The solar panels on the vehicle's roof provides some power to the vehicle's systems." SOME POWER There's what, a square meter of solar panel on the roof? Maybe 150 Watts of energy? This vehicle "features a 50kW electric motor"... so the panel provides, let's see..., 0.3% of the power required to run the motor? That makes it "Solar Powered"?? Oh please... Well, at least the "materials in the construction have been sourced to be as environmentally friendly as possible", except of course for the batteries and electronics which are environmentally toxic...

What I don't understand is why they keep making more and more environmentally friendly cars, then sell them for prices that are far from economically friendly. It doesn't matter if you have ten billion various green cars, if no one can afford them they don't help anyone. Even the "affordable" ones are way out of my and the majority of the people I know's price range.

Looking good, but imagine the cost of replacing that solar panel if you have an accident.
