we're on virgin and we have the 20mb connection. This however is slower than our Telewest Blueyonder 8Mb connection we used to have.

From the page: "Virgin Media faces net neutrality boycott" youtube.com/watch [youtube.com]What really annoys me about all of this is that they complain about Torrents and Youtube soaking up all the bandwidth and then they bring out their own services that provide TV over the net. I even hear Sky is switching their programs to the net instead of terrestrial. Hard to believe that they could think to transmit HD TV (good enough for the largest Plasma TVs) over the net and then complain about Youtube and Torrents.

From the page: ""As a Virgin customer, I am not paying to see those services that bribe Virgin to reach me. I am paying to reach the entire web, whichever bits I think are useful, as quickly as Virgin can deliver them," said Cory Doctorow, internet activist and journalist."

Why, oh why, do people continually test my career boundary? I want to be a mild mannered scientist, but they keep trying to make me want to become a trained assassin, taking out all the stupid that's in power in the world.
