A colleague just sent me this, anyway, I still believe that computer science is not a noble science, it's not academic, at the end of the day it's just DIY with 0's and 1's and nothing more.

I'd say that a lot of this is just plain wrong. It doesn't mean you're a better programmer if you learn API functions by heart.
