- i'm trying to enjoy this documentary, i really am, but i find the lack of subtitles to be so fucking frustrating. i feel like these kids are saying something so important that is being lost on the viewer. you can sort of get a sense of how they are feeling, but the words would be so much more powerful. the photographs are amazing. it's a brilliant concept, giving a bunch of kids cameras to see what they see. --------------- *edit: i take that back. it's actually quite amazing to get the sense of these children from the way they talk, their facial expressions, their body movements. you can learn so much with your eyes vs. your ears. this is an incredible documentary. go to your library/movie store and check it out. i still want to watch the one with subtitles though.
