Eagle0600 rated 7 months ago- "Take me off your list", as the nice lady below me said.

MzCream216 rated 8 months ago- I am a sales rep...or TELEMARKETER as everyone puts it, and I don't think this is funny for a few reason. 1. We are doing a job just like every other working human in the world. 2. Trust me if it was up to me I would only call the people who want the service we offer because commission is so good!! 3. Some people (like the elderly) can't wait for us to call just so they can have some one to talk to because their ungrateful children don't visit let a lone call. AND THE LAST OF MY FEW BUT I CAN LIST MORE REASON THIS IS UN COOL IS.....IT ONLY MAKES US MAD AND JUST TO LET YOU KNOW WE WILL JUST PUT YOU ON A REDIAL...Which means you will get a call(within 13min) from a fellow co-worker and go ahead piss them off as well because they are just going to do the same thing. CODE THE CALL OUT AS A REDIAL!!!!!!...HAHAHAHA....SO IN YO FACE!! Bottom line I don't wanna annoy you,I just want to do my job. So please don't annoy me!! THANKS!!!! P.S I AM NOT A TWIT, AND I ALSO DO MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING TELEMARKETING IS JUST EASY MONEY!!!! PLUS YOU CAN JUST SAY "PLEASE REMOVE ME FROM YOUR CALLING LIST" LET THE REP VERIFY YOUR NUMBER AND BE DONE WITH IT!!!

Kirro rated 12 months ago- I used to work at a doctor's office, where we would occasionally get telemarketer calls. I didn't answer the phones, but I could always hear the when the receptionists got a telemarketer. Word of warning: Do not piss off a receptionist. They seem quiet and polite, but they have a lot of pent up anger from dealing with bullshit patients all day, all while wearing a fake smile.

holy-potato rated 12 months ago- well, I could do what the page says, but I'm way over talking to some twit about something I have absolutely no interest in after a long day at work. What I do is after I answer the phone and they ask for me I say: "Let me get him for you, he's just getting out of the shower." and then I put the phone down. You'd be surprised just how long are these people sit and wait for me...

SillyAshles rated 12 months ago- As said by mario73: The only reason to follow the advice of this website is if you take some sort of sadistic pleasure in abusing a fellow human being that for one of several reasons needs to work in that profession. If you think your actions will end telemarketing, think again. People have been fucking with telemarketers since the first guy got on a party line to sell a product back in the 50's. Sure, you may drive an individual out of the business, but that hurts nobody but that individual. The industry expects, enjoys and thrives on a revolving door policy. There will always be an ass for the seat, and the constant turnover rate ensures that they will never have to provide health care, they will never have to worry about a union, and they will always be able to pay the least amount of money to make the most profit. If telemarketing didn't work, it would have ended a long time ago. Even with the advent of the natl. do not call list, telemarketing still thrives, and is a multi BILLION dollar industry. You will never crush this industry, and if you think that the suggestions made by this site will do so, you are sorely mistaken. If anything, you are helping to prolong the profit ratio of these firms by maintaining a steady turnaround of staff. If you really want to end telemarketing your best bet is to fight for campaign finance reform. A large portion of campaign funds are obtained through telemarketing efforts, which is why congress has been very slow to move on passing stricter regulations on telemarketing. Stop abusing workers, and start writing to your legislators.

MorbidJester rated 12 months ago- oh i am so doing this.

- ok here's the deal. sure you can attempt this. at best you will piss someone off, and they will move on. at worst you will become a victim of identity theft, or other malicious acts. If your goal is to stop telemarketing calls from coming into your home, your best course of action is to stop the caller before they even get into their script and say "I am sorry, we do not accept telephone solicitations of any kind, even from businesses we patronize, or organizations we support. Please remove me from your calling list. I am hanging up now. Thank you for honoring my request" click. Most telemarketers will do exactly as you request for 2 reasons 1: it is very easy for them to do so. 2: you were polite, direct, and you did not waste their time. The other thing you can do (which telemarketers love even more since you don't hurt their average which effects their rate of pay) is tell them that they have a: reached the wrong number or b: the person they are trying to reach has died. (IMPORTANT NOTE: only use the dead excuse for companies/orgs you don't patronize or you may see the termination of your service or product.) The only reason to follow the advice of this website is if you take some sort of sadistic pleasure in abusing a fellow human being that for one of several reasons needs t work in that profession. gobbluth rated 13 months ago- it's a sick thing to do, just nicely say your not interested, and calmly hang up.
