I'm giving hushmail the "thumbs up" since it has been a great email service for my teenager. I'm able to monitor the emails that come through to her email account by emails being sent to my email (just who they are from), and so far, no spam. I don't have to worry about anything inappropriate being sent to her by third parties. I know some people have given this email service a "thumbs down" for cooperating with police in some drug smuggling cases http://www.itnews.com.au/News/65213,hushmail-turns-out-to-be%20-anything-%20but. aspx Hello? Drug smuggling?

Not so hush anymore. "A court document in a drug smuggling case has shown that the private email service Hushmail has been cooperating with police in handing over [PGP encryption keys to the U.S. government]..." It looks like someone's about to go out of business.

http://www.itnews.com.au/News/65213,hushmail-turns-out-to-be-anything-but.aspx Not so secret.. Hushmail gives your emails to the US gov't if requested, along with the PGP keys needed to decrypt them. DO NOT WANT.

Nice email host for people with paranoia. It works very well, excellent spam protection.
