kaolelo rated 5 months ago- From the page: "It will come as a surprise to many people that there are rules in politics. Most of those rules are unwritten and are based on common understandings, acceptable practices, and the best interest of the political party a candidate seeks to lead. One of those rules is this: Do not provide ammunition to the opposition party that can be used to destroy your party's nominee. This is a hyper-truth where the presidential contest is concerned."

AvangionQ rated 5 months ago- From the page: "By saying that only she and John McCain are qualified to lead the country, particularly in times of crisis, Hillary Clinton has broken that rule, severely damaged the Democratic candidate who may well be the party's nominee, and, perhaps most ominously, revealed the unlimited lengths to which she will go to achieve power. She has essentially said that the Democratic party deserves to lose unless it nominates her." ... one amongst many reasons for Hillary to drop out of the race now, gracefully ...

Codebender rated 5 months ago- "raw, unrestrained ambition for power that cannot accept the will of the voters."

cardreader rated 5 months ago- Gary Hart calls out Hillary about not being a very good community member of the democratic party. According to Hart, "[s]he has essentially said that the Democratic party deserves to lose unless it nominates her". If she really wants power at all costs, maybe she'll switch parties to be VP: that would really break the final rule. Or would she rather take McCain on in 2012 than Obama?

This is a hyper-truth where the presidential contest is concerned." She's always been too obligated to giant donors (doesn't favor non-profit health insurance in order to appease the industry), too supportive of Bush's agenda and his backers (scary voting record in Senate), and utilizes "the Old Guard" advisers far too extensively for strategy and fundraising and ?what else...next thing you know she'll endorse McCain, so she can be vp then p. (she has made it clear that nothing will make her give up, not even losing her own party's nomination, so going over to the Repub nominee probably wouldn't seem odd to her...?) ***And then there's this: Hillary Clinton's chief strategist is Mark Penn, and Charlie Black, John McCain's top adviser, is chairman of BKSH, the DC-based lobbying subsidiary of Burson-Marsteller -- of which Mark Penn is CEO.www.dailykos.com/story/2008/2/24/14518/2213/544/463202
