The House of Turquoise is a cheerful little interior design blog devoted to the color. I never warmed up to it as a choice for home decorating, but the examples here are warm and welcoming and elegant. It is is a lovely collection of photos showcasing home decors that use turquoise-inspired palettes.

It's a chilly, dreary, blustery morning here in Wisconsin, so I am posting something which cheers me. I love the cottage look. It suits me. I'm not a sophisticated person. I am down-to-earth and love simple living. I like the cottage look because it is homey and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. I like these pictures because, well, they cheer me. I would love to have a little cottage on a beach somewhere. Unfortunately, those simple little beach cottages now cost a fortune because they have ocean frontage. So be it. I will quench my thirst with photos.
