Thousands of Hospitality Club members around the world help each other when they are traveling - be it with a roof for the night or a guided tour through town. Joining is free, takes just a minute and everyone is welcome. Members can look at each other's profiles, send messages and post comments about their experience on the website."

* * * guests * * * I have guests this evening staying the night. Three of them. I've never met or spoken to any of them. I don't know their friends of friends either. We've done e-mail maybe twice. I believe they are from Switzerland. They might not even show up. You think I'm crazy? I'm part of the hospitality club. A personal free hotel and tourist guide club. Traveling around, or moving somewhere new? Maybe you would like someone to spend the afternoon showing you around town? Just need a cheap place to crash and you kinda like the idea of staying at another human being's home? Maybe try some authentic home style cooking (um...not tonight though, kay). Not a problem. Just let me clean up a little bit first, eh. * * *

It's one of the most 'real' communities on the net. Just sign in and people will come stay at your place and you'll be able to find a couch anywhere on the globe. People I've met through HC is some of the kindest persons I've known. You can also join just for the community...

I'm a member and I've used it a couple of times. It's a fantastic way of travelling. How different it is to discover a new place without feeling like a simple tourist!
