With the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we sometimes don't stop and think what way our children are getting on at school. I like this list. I'll definitely be using some of these tips!

Big thumbs up. Good parenting is a must. I also want to echo tip #4. Praise your child's efforts, not their intelligence. There has been a study that suggests that when you praise a child for being 'smart' at one thing, they associate success with something innate. If they fail at a different task, they assume they simply aren't 'smart' at it, and give up more easily. In contrast, children that are praised for their effort, when encountering obstacles, will work harder to overcome initial failure. "Wow, you did a great job, your effort really shows!" is much better than "Great job, wow! You're so smart at this!"

From the page: "Going back to school can be stressful for kids. They've had all summer to have fun, but now they have to focus on learning. A little pick me up can do wonders for their attitude toward school."
