I grew up learning about the Holocaust. The pictures of the horrors that happened will haunt me forever. While Jews were the primary target there were many others who suffered the same fate. My father said that I am shown these horrors so that we remember and it does not happen again (to anyone)...

From what I have "learned" from my history school book, I believe it to be a dutch communist protester who burned the Reichstag.

- I think the next time I hear any liberal compare any moderately conservative action, or any conservative compare any socialistic or Islamic decree as "Nazi", "fascist", or in any way pertaining to Hitler or the Holocaust I am going to punch them in the face as hard as I can. I am not a historian, but I have always heard that it was the Nazi's themselves who burned the Reichstag. Rather than bandying it back and forth, can someone point to some documentation -- because I have to admit that I actually don't know. And please don't send me any links to any holocaust denial sites or I will ban you. I am closed minded about some things. Not kidding.

- This is an excellent timeline source. Perhaps, Rocky, there are some historical inaccuracies, but taken as a whole, this is how it happened.
