Considering what is going on today in American society, it would be a good thing to sit down and read some of the court cases which have through rulings, shaped the laws of this land. In reviewing the cases concerning immigration, I think it is interesting to see which ethnic groups underwent tough scrutiny in the past as opposed to which receive that same scrutiny today. On a different level, there is a great deal of power over the years which has been yielded from a judicial bench. Where is the balance of power? I don't know! However, in reading about these cases and rulings, I might argue that it is the judiciary which has most power. Maybe the question should not be which of these cases should now be over-ruled--although that is indeed something which should be given a good going over--but how is it we will go about re-balancing the government among her three branches.
