A short synopsis of the analysis by George Bernard Shaw on his review of the practice of polygamy by the Mormons in the late 1800s. He remarked that it was obviously not done for sexual reasons, but rather despite the piety of the Mormons it was practiced because they believed it to be commanded of God and necessary to save the population.

I am so glad that polygamy is not how I live. Through G. B. Shaw's eyes, I am able to see something of a justification, but the very thought of me sharing my husband with another woman does not make me happy.
