Yah, Rowling suing some small time publisher for little reason is low, but half of this shitty rant is him attacking Rowling personally while obliquely praising himself.

I guess J.K. Rowling has nothing better to do with her time now?

The only decent thing this man has ever written were the sword fight insults from Monkey Island.

I love that people are accusing Orson Scott Card of being bitter. Yes, because he is so bitter that he didn't get the mental fandom following that HP got. He so cares. He's so writing fantasy and sci fi because he wants the money. Hilarious. PS props to the spot-on Ender's Game reference below :D

I've always loved O.S. Card and now I know why.

From the page: "1. Publication of Lexicon will go on without any problem or prejudice, because it clearly falls within the copyright law's provision for scholarly work, commentary, and review."

I like Card's optimism.

OH and hai to all the tards that can't read the whole article, youre all tards.

Listen up rabid Harry Potter fanatics! The point is NOT that Ender's Game is (and several other SF/Fantasy books are) simlar to the Harry Potter series - or that the sales of her OFFICIAL lexicon were going to charity (she's bloody rich, why not just donate the money instead of giving it to lawyers? Oh, right, the attention whore thing...) or that her copyright is being infringed (surely anyone who'd buy the RDR lexicon would already own her books, or would PLAN TO BUY her books - profit woo!)...the point is that J K Rowling is evil and must die. I joke, of course (please don't sue me J K), but her work is terribly overrated. Sure, she's popular, but so is wearing black tracksuits, underage drinking and kicking people's heads in.

This needed a little more Locke and a lot less Demosthenes, but an interesting read none the less.

Yeah... Card wrote a wonderful book a long time ago (wonderful, but unoriginal - oh come on, it's about a kid who's special and goes to space and fights aliens, it's hardly new). But what is this crap? Bitter, twisted, and completely stupid. Rowling is cross because someone is publishing an unauthorised lexicon of her work? Well, good for her - I'd be hopping mad, too. Whether some of her fiction ideas were inspired by other sources is irrelevant.
