Half-baked ideas... what an excellent use of the internet! Love it!

What is the halfbakery? The halfbakery is a communal database of poorly thought-out ideas for inventions. Its users can post their inventions and add links and commentary to other people's posts. What the halfbakery isn't: This site is not a store, a game, or a business of any sort; if you think that, you're probably confusing the site with one of the postings on it. Sorry. Fascinating site of "halfbaked" ideas and crazy (but not real, yet anyway) inventions.

From the page: "halfbakery: The halfway house for at-risk ideas." It's a peer-review site for half-baked ideas - while most of the content is hilarious, the community is genuinely helpful.

Have a half baked idea that you need to flesh out? Leave it here. Pick up on others ideas as well.

A collection of crazy inventions that might just change the world. My personal favorite is the tonal keyboard. It uses a combination of keys pressed to represent a given letter. This betters the QUERTY keyboard because with 10 keys you can achieve 1000's of characters. You also have a low enough key count to never need to move your fingers from their assigned key reducing RSI and the like.
