In one hundred years, would Mark Twain and Charles Dickens be supplanted in public-perceived preeminence by an Ayn-Rand-alike? Is it even possible for copyrights to be relinquished to the public domain anymore, if the owner of such retains financial clout (à la Disney)?

Project Gutenberg is a collection of zillions of copyright free books. I like the fact that they are txt files which can be read from almost any portable mp3 player. I don't know about you guys, but when I wake up at 3 in the morning, I like something to read:-)
