    AWESOME and look up all the free lessons on YOU TUBE because there are tons!I am lucky I play several other instruments and I like to learn on my own but however you should have a teacher at a local music store because you can learn WRONG and mess yourself up...so spend a few bucks to check in to make sure your hand positions and stuff are really ok...Unless you can look at yourself in the mirror objectively you will not be able to do this.

    My wife would love me to play the guitar better... I sing here sweet sweet nothings in her ear and this would only enhance it...

    It's always hard beginning to learn an instrument. The guitar is no exception. I'm just happy that we've got sites like this to help guide and ease the process. Good luck to everyone attempting to learn to play. Keep at it, because mastering a musical instrument is well worth the effort.

    Paid online lessons is so not worth it. If you can pay, go for a real life instructor. If you cannot, there are plenty of really great free sites out there to get you started. try www.justinguitar.com
