The Greens party is the party with the third largest popular support in New Zealand. I live in hope that it will get to play a significant part in government one day before it is too late. I was a candidate for the Values party in 1975 in its second election and somewhere along the way this became the Greens party. Under NZ MMP proportional voting system the Greens have been represented in parliament for some time.
