Green cars are ok, but I prefer a nice shiny black one, with 4x4, oh and a sunroof.

Biofuels really aren't the answer. It has been said that you use more energy growing them than you reap in fuel. Oh yeah, and Bush likes em so that's surely a bad sign.

In my ideal world, people would use mass transit instead of driving but there seems to be a few million people who disagree with me. Green cars seem like a good compromise.

from the site: "
Our Mission

The path to sustainable mobility is complex, with numerous competing
and complementary approaches to alternative energy sources, production,
distribution and applications; fuel and power-train options; materials;
safety, economic and environmental considerations and trade-offs;
policy issues; and different timelines for research, development and
deployment.

Green Car Congress' mission is to provide timely,
high-quality editorial about the full spectrum of energy options,
technologies, products, issues and policies related to sustainable
mobility.

Our goals are:
  1. To provide timely and accurate reporting and analysis of relevant developments around the world.
  2. To take the panoptic view, providing comprehensive coverage and the context critical to understanding and evaluating our emerging energy options.

Our audience comprises members of every segment of the energy and
transportation markets: industry, government, academia and the public.

Our hope is to be the source on which our readers depend for useful
information, to foster and facilitate the interaction, exchange and
community within and across market segments, and to support
successfully the adoption of sustainable energy solutions."

I love this site, I visit it at least twice a day and it's one of the feeds on my RSS reader. It's exciting the new innovations that are coming out every day to save fuel and reduce reliance on planet-killing power. Humanity needs creativity and innovation if we are going to continue on.
