I'm all but speechless. We really need a bill from our congress to tell us how great Christians are? Follow the link to the full text, read it, and call your congressperson to complain. This is idiocy.

Whoa, I'm not happy about this only because it seems like a colossal waste (in conjunction with all the other "feel good" bills), but this is taken completely out of context. This past October, the House passed Bill 635 (By a vote of 376-0, a stronger result than the current Christian/Christmas bill which passed 372-9) available here : http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c110:1:./temp/~c110I0eG7N: which is "Recognizing the commencement of Ramadan , the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, and commending Muslims in the United States and throughout the world for their faith." They're both a waste of time, the Muslim one less so (because there was an outbreak of violence against Muslims), but Congress is hardly singling out Christianity, at least in this instance. edit: Here's one for Diwali too http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c110:H.RES.245:
