Nice little astronomy tool. Search for galaxies, nebulas, stars, etc. It'll take you straight there, give you a great picture, and some information about them.

well now there seems to be a limited zoom level and these images are not live which I wasn't expecting at all. I never expected it to be a database of photos like google earth, I thought google wanted to make something live and exciting but I was wrong. I think that I will stick to my telescope if you dont mind.

Brings new meaning to the term stargazing.... And I thought sitting in the grass at my cottage staring at thousands of stars was incredible.. this is something else

It may be my inability to get this programme running usefully, but it's just a piece of crap astronomy-software in my hands. I'll stick to what I know. Got my telescope pointed at Jupiter tonight. He's flying low in the South right now. The moons are in excellent position.

this is awesome, plus it reminded me to redownload google earth. it kind of makes you feel a bit small though, being able to look into all that limitless space.
